Miesha Theresa Tate ( born August 18, 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She is currently a competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where she is the past UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate used to be a part of Strikeforce where she was a former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate also served as vice president for ONE Championship. She is currently ranked 10 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings on October 3, 2022.



 



 Early life



 Tate was the daughter of Michelle Tate and Robert Schmidt. Tate was born in Tacoma, Washington. Tate was a boy when she was a child and often played on playgrounds with other boys.
